WHY GIVE FUNDS & FOOD?

River Bend Food Bank’s network of over 400 hunger-relief partners relies on consistent funding and healthy food to feed children and adults experiencing hunger. These critical resources are donated from a variety of sources – excess food from wholesalers, distributors, and grocers, the annual Student Hunger Drive, Community Hunger Drive, and Funds & Food Drives hosted by local businesses and individuals.

By hosting a Funds & Food Drive, you can help make sure people have the food they need to thrive as productive members of the community.

HOW TO HOST A FUNDS & FOOD DRIVE

River Bend Food Bank welcomes funds and food donations throughout the year. To host a Funds & Food Drive at your business, church, social group, or family gathering, follow these steps:

  1. Select a date range for your Drive (we suggest between 3-6 weeks long)
  2. Select a point person or leader for the Drive
  3. Fill out and submit the Host a Drive form linked below
  4. If you’ll accept monetary donations, contact River Bend Food Bank to set up a personalized, online fundraising page!
  5. Connect with River Bend Food Bank about your plans so we can help you promote your Drive and support your efforts
  6. Use the marketing materials available on this page to get the word out!
  7. Once your Drive is complete, contact River Bend Food Bank to arrange drop-off of your collections.

For large amounts of food donations, please drop off before 2:00pm (Mon-Fri) so our warehouse team is on hand to help unload.
