HOW DOES IT WORK?
Each year, student leaders are chosen at participating high schools (contact Jayna Gallagher, Community Engagement Manager, to learn how your school can join the Drive!). With a school Advisor, the students develop and implement fundraising activities, promote the Student Hunger Drive, and collect food and funds for their school.
At the end of the competition, each school brings their collected food and funds to River Bend Food Bank, and awards are given to schools that raise the most support in their division (based on student population).
All food and funds are used to support the critical programs that distribute food to over 400 hunger-relief partners across the Food Bank’s 23-county service area, providing much-needed food to children and adults facing hunger.
