Since 1986, the Student Hunger Drive has brought together thousands of students throughout the region to spend six weeks working toward the effort to end hunger. Over the past four decades, these students have raised food and funds that have provided 19 million meals to the 1 in 8 people who experience hunger in our local communities.
But that isn’t all students have accomplished.
From canned food drives to door-to-door collections, these students also remind us that this work requires a collective effort, an effort to which we would like to invite you.
Imagine another million meals…
Since its inception, the Student Hunger Drive has been supported
by local businesses who believe in the benefits of standing alongside these students, but this year, we are offering a new opportunity for local organizations to invest in the efforts of our young people and multiply those efforts into a million meals through the Million Meals Match.
A unique opportunity
We invite your organization to contribute toward a shared goal of $200,000 (1 million meals). Once you’ve pledged your contribution, we’re also inviting you to be ambassadors on our behalf by challenging your peers and competitors to follow suit.
Together, your financial contributions will result in another million meals added to the total collected by the students during Student Hunger Drive.
